Eurozone's consumer confidence improves in December
Consumer confidence in the Eurozone observed a monthly improvement in December, rising by 1.7 points. The European Commission revealed in its preliminary report published on Tuesday that consumer confidence remains well below its long-term average at negative 22.2 points.
The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) advanced for the first time since February, by 1.0 point to 93.7 in the Eurozone. The Employment Expectations Indicator (EEI) also increased by 2.0 points to 107.4.
