ExxonMobil's Q3 EPS almost triples to $4.68
ExxonMobil Corporation specified on Friday that its diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the third quarter of fiscal 2022 reached $4.68 after surging 198% from the same timeframe in 2021.
GAAP earnings, also defined by the company as net income, were 191% higher, hitting $19.66 billion in the third trimester. Total revenues and other income rose 25% year on year to $112.07 billion in three months that ended September 30, 2022.
"The investments we've made, even through the pandemic, enabled us to increase production to address the needs of consumers. Rigorous cost control and growth of higher-margin petroleum and chemical products also contributed to earnings and cash flow growth in the quarter," CEO and Chairman Darren Woods said in the press release.
The energy giant's stock increased by 1.81% in premarket trading after the report was published.
