Fauci explains CDC isolation time decision
Dr. Anthony Fauci, United States President Joe Biden's chief medical advisor, told CNN in an interview that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) decision to reduce the recommended isolation period for asymptomatic people was made so those individuals could return to work more quickly.
"The reason is that with the sheer volume of new cases that we are having and that we expect to continue with omicron, one of the things we want to be careful of is we don’t have so many people out," said Fauci.
