FCA US sales fall by 10% due to coronavirus outbreak

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV reported on Wednesday the fall by 10% of its auto sales in the United States in the first quarter. The coronavirus outbreak negatively impacted demand and stopped the whole production already in mid-March.

The company said it sold 446,768 vehicles in the first three months of 2020, compared with 498,425 units a year earlier.

Fiat sales dropped by 49% while its Ram brand managed to report sales higher by 3% while Jeep fell by 14%. Chrysler slid 5% and Dodge plunged by 20%.
