Fed's Kaplan: Next 3 to 6 months very difficult

United States Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Robert Kaplan warned that the next three to six months will be "very difficult" for the US economy. However, he stressed that his 12-month outlook remains positive and that he expects strong growth in the second half of 2021.

Kaplan stressed that more fiscal stimulus would help achieve a faster recovery and limit scarring.

The central banker went on to say that he is uncertain if changes to asset purchases should be made until there is more visibility on the economic outlook.
