Full vaccine approval won't lead to more inoculations - Dr. Gottlieb

Former Commissioner of the United States Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Scott Gottlieb, argued on Wednesday that the full approval of COVID-19 vaccines is unlikely to lead to more inoculations among those who don't want to get vaccinated.

However, Dr. Gottlieb noted that the authorization could lead to more businesses requiring their workers to be vaccinated against the disease.

"The reality is these vaccines have been used in hundreds of millions of people at this point... You have an enormous data set at this point and the EUA in terms of the review... really was tantamount to a full BLA, a full biologic license application. So I'm not sure that this is going to make such a distinction in the minds of many consumers," he told CNBC.
