Gazprom to once again reduce gas supply from July 27

Gazprom announced on Monday that it plans to reduce its Nord Stream gas transportation once again starting from July 27 due to maintenance work of another Siemens turbine. As a result, daily gas deliveries will amount to no more than 33 million cubic meters which accounts for around 20% of the planned capacity of its gas pipeline, the company explained.

Earlier in the day, the Russian gas and oil giant said its gas deliveries to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline have once again reached an all-time record high on Sunday, July 24, after noting two previous record-high deliveries on July 19 and July 17.

The Nord Stream is now operating at 40% of its capacity. Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Nord Stream 2 pipeline can be used as a solution to the energy crisis in Europe. However, his statement was not welcomed by the general public.
