German retail sales down 1.9% in October
Turnover in retail trade in Germany decreased 1.9% in October both in real terms and nominal on a monthly basis, according to a report released by the country’s statistical office Destatis on Friday.
On an annual basis, adjusted for calendar and seasonal variations, retail sales grew just by 0.8% compared to September in real terms, and were down 1.0% in nominal terms.
In the whole month, the number of days open for sale was 26.
