Germany presents district limitations to control COVID-19

Germany introduced on Thursday tighter limitations in smaller, individual districts due to the coronavirus outbreak. According to the new strategy, residents of these districts that have announced COVID-19 outbreaks will be forbidden to travel out of the city. Also, hotels will accept new guests only in case they have a valid negative coronavirus test.

Last month, North Rhine-Westphalia Premier Armin Laschet reintroduced a lockdown in the Guetersloh area in response to a fresh coronavirus outbreak at a meat plant in the region.

According to the latest information, the overall number of infected people in the country stands at 201,281 with the death toll reaching 9,148.
