Global COVID-19 deaths hit daily record of 9,301

The number of registered coronavirus deaths climbed by 9,301 on November 10, data compiled from health authorities worldwide showed. The figure marks the largest daily rise in fatalities from the disease since the pandemic started.

The total death toll from COVID-19 now stands at 1,282,435. The United States remains the most affected country with over 240,000 fatalities, followed by Brazil with around 162,000 deaths from the virus.

However, fears over the pandemic started to ease this week after Pfizer and BioNTech, as well as Russia's Health Ministry, said their respective COVID-19 vaccines showed over 90% efficacy.
