Google to cut revenue it gets from cloud marketplace - report

Google LLC intends to cut the revenue it gets when software from other vendors is purchased on its cloud marketplace, CNBC reported on Sunday. Citing people familiar with the matter, Google Cloud Platform will drop the revenue share it gets from 20% to 3%.

Google responded to the published report confirming that changes to the marketplace fee structure are in development, but declined to further comment on the changes, adding that the company will share more on the matter "soon." Previously, Google had decreased the service fee it charged developers on its Google Play platform.
