Heavy rains in Japan kill 1 person, injure many
Tropical storm Mawar has brought heavy rains to various parts of Japan, resulting in floods that have claimed one life and left dozens injured, with two people still missing. According to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency, six individuals have suffered severe injuries, while 24 others have sustained minor injuries.
The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued warnings for residents to remain vigilant about the possibility of floods in the eastern region of the country, as well as potential landslides across Japan's western areas. Public broadcaster NHK has reported that the weather is expected to improve in most parts of Japan later today, following power outages that affected approximately 4,000 households in regions near Tokyo.
