HK to ask travelers from Africa to quarantine for 3 weeks - report

Hong Kong will introduce a three-week quarantine for its citizens returning from South Africa and seven other African countries in an attempt to stop the spread of the newly-detected Omicron coronavirus strain, Dimsum Daily reported.

Hong Kongers will have to spend the first week of isolation in a designated health center, and the remaining two in a hotel, the report added.

Entry for non-citizens from eight African nations will be banned from November 29.
