House approves marijuana decriminalization in US
United States House of Representatives voted on Friday to decriminalize marijuana use at the federal level.
With 228 for and 164 votes against, the lawmakers passed the Marijuana Opportunity, Reinvestment, and Expungement Act, which would remove marijuana from the federal list of controlled substances and expunge some marijuana-related criminal records.
However, the bill probably won't become law as it unlikely to pass the current Republican-controlled Senate.
