House GOP: Biden must clarify tank supply decision
The United States House of Representatives Republican Troy Nehls and a group of others sent a letter to US President Joe Biden and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Friday, urging them to give answers regarding the decision on sending tanks to Ukraine.
"The American people did not elect us to continually spend their hard-earned taxpayer dollars ($97 billion and counting) into a conflict halfway around the world without demonstrating the ability to properly track the end use of weapons, ammunition, armored vehicles, and all other forms of security assistance," they wrote in the letter obtained by Daily Caller.
The Republicans said that even prior to Russia's invasion Ukrainian military couldn't "prevent the theft and sale of military property." They asked what actions will be taken to stop this from happening again and how the Biden administration plans "to account for the loss and destruction of US military assistance."
