House to vote on infrastructure bill Monday

United States House of Representatives majority leaders say the vote on the Senate's infrastructure bill will still take place on Monday, following a meeting moderate Democrats had with the House speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Pelosi already hinted on Friday that she didn't have the majority necessary to pass the bill until there was an agreement on a larger reconciliation bill requested by left-leaning Democrats.

"At least 50" members of Congress still plan to vote to sink the infrastructure bill if the vote goes forward on Monday, said Democratic Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal. She added that the steps leadership is taking to move ahead on the big reconciliation bill is "not enough," indicating that a failed vote on Monday is a possibility.
