HPE's revenue down 0.1% to $7.2B in Q4

Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Inc. reported on Tuesday that its revenue in the final quarter of fiscal 2020 landed at $7.2 billion after a slight drop of 0.1% compared to the same period a year ago. During the same period, the diluted earnings per share of the San Jose-based firm plunged 66.6% on an annual basis, landing at $0.12.

Net earnings jumped by a whopping 1644% compared to the last trimester, reaching $157 million, which was still 67.3% less than the figure recorded in the fourth quarter of 2019. For the entire fiscal 2020, the company's revenue dipped 7.4%, amounting to $26.9 billion, while its diluted loss per share came up to $0.25 for the past 12 months.

"Hewlett Packard Enterprise finished the year with a very strong performance," Hewlett-Packard Enterprise CEO Antonio Neri commented. "In Q4 we saw a notable rebound in our overall revenue, with particular acceleration in key growth areas of our business," he added.

The company's shares lost 1.79% in the after-hours trading following the release.
