If talks didn't progress, we wouldn't hold them - Pelosi

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (pictured) stated on Thursday that the Democrats wouldn't hold negotiations on the coronavirus relief bill with the White House if they stalled.

The official expressed optimism again regarding the possibility of passing the legislation but added that the two sides still have come to an agreement on state and local funding and liability.

However, Pelosi said that "the opportunity" to pass the bill lies in the fact that President Donald Trump also wants a deal.
