Ifo: Germany business climate improves in June

Sentiment among Germany's businesses improved in June compared to the previous month, according to the latest research from the Institute for Economic Research published on Thursday.

The Ifo Business Climate Index increased to 101.8 by beating expectations, while the Current Economic Assessment Index climbed to 99.6 and the Expectations Index advanced to 104.

"Conditions in retail have improved by more than any time since German reunification in 1990... The German economy is picking up speed," the report concluded.
