Industrial production in euro area up 0.7% in June

The Eurozone industrial production grew by 0.7% in June compared to May, according to a report by Eurostat on Friday. In the European Union, industrial output was up by 0.6% on a monthly basis. Compared to June 2021, euro area production increased by 2.4%, while EU production rose by 3.2%.

In the euro area, production of capital goods increased by 2.6% and energy by 0.6% month-on-month, while it rose 2.1% and 0.7% in the EU respectively. Annually, the biggest gains in the Eurozone were seen in capital goods at 7.6% and durable consumer goods at 4%. In the EU, capital goods rose by 7.5% compared to June 2021, followed by non-durable consumer goods at 2.6%.
