Investigators begin work on Ethiopian voice recorder

French investigators on Saturday started studying the cockpit voice recorder of the Ethiopian Airlines flight that crashed, media reported.

In a Twitter post on Saturday, the French air accident investigation agency BEA said that technical work on the recorder had begun. The agency also said that work on the flight’s data recorders had resumed and that teams from Boeing, the United States National Transportation Safety Board, the Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency were present.

Ethiopian Airlines sent the black boxes to France on Thursday for investigation. Flight ET 302 crashed shortly after takeoff on Sunday, killing all 157 people onboard.
