Irish PM hopes for 'outline' of Brexit deal this week

Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin expressed hope on Monday that "outlines" of a deal between the United Kingdom and the European Union could be agreed upon by the end of the week. However, he cautioned that it "remains to be seen," even if he saw signs of progress from both negotiating teams.

Speaking to reporters at Dublin Port, he warned businesses that there will be a "very significant change" even if a deal is concluded before the end of the Brexit transition period. He urged companies to "do your paperwork in advance" and stated the Brexit is "the most significant fundamental change in our economic narrative in 50 years."
