Japan, Finland partner on developing 6G - report

Experts from Japan and Finland are teaming up on a 6G technology research and development effort that will be formally announced on Tuesday, according to the Nikkei Asian Review.

The joint effort will also include Finnish telecommunications company Nokia Corporation, along with Finland's University of Oulu and Japanese telecommunications industry players like Nippon Telegraph & Telephone, NTT Docomo, KDDI, SoftBank Corp. and Rakuten Mobile.

Earlier, it was revealed that China is aiming to commercialize 6G by 2030.
