Japan slaps anti-dumping duties on Chinese, Korean galvanized steel wire

The Japanese Finance Ministry announced on Friday it decided to introduce anti-dumping duties on hot-dipped galvanized steel wire from China and South Korea.

Tokyo noted the decision was made after its investigation determined that "material injury ... to the domestic industry was caused by such import, and that therefore the domestic industry needed to be protected."

The anti-dumping duties will come into effect on December 8 and will be in force until December 2027. The measures will exclude Hong Kong and Macao.
