Business description
Japan Tobacco Inc. is engaged in the tobacco, pharmaceutical and food industry. The domestic tobacco business, the core business of JT, includes the brands Winston, Camel, MEVIUS and LD. The Group's tobacco business outside Japan operate in more than 70 countries, manufacturing, marketing and selling tobacco products to 120 countries around the world. In addition, into the pharmaceuticals business, JT is active in research and development on glucose and lipid metabolism; virus; immune disorders and inflammation; and bone metabolism. Furthermore, in the food business, JT Group is focused on three business areas: processed foods and seasonings.
