Japan's economy still under pressure from virus curbs - BoJ's Kuroda

Governor of the Bank of Japan (BoJ) Haruhiko Kuroda said that the country's economy remains under pressure from the restrictions put in place to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Kuroda noted that the central bank expects Japan's economy to maintain sustainable growth and eventually recover after experiencing a downturn amid the pandemic.

He went on to reiterate that the bank is prepared to look into further easing and take steps without hesitation to prevent the disease from affecting the country's economy.
