Japan's exports drop 5.2% in September YoY

Japan's exports in September were 5.2% lower compared to the same month of the previous year, according to a provisional report by the Ministry of Finance on Monday. It was estimated that the decline would be 3.6%.

On an annual basis, imports decreased by 1.5% in September, while it was anticipated they would drop by 2.8%.

The trade deficit was unchanged year-on-year in September and stood at ¥123 billion, despite the expected surplus of ¥54 billion.
