Johnson fails to rule out military conflict with Iran

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson refused to say that London would not join potential military international efforts against Iran if it was asked, Sky News reported on Monday.

However, on his way to the United Nations General Assembly session in New York, Johnson pointed out the Britain's preferred solution to the crisis caused by drone attacks on Saudi Aramco oil facilities would be a "de-escalation of tensions." Johnson added that the UK believes "with a very high degree of probability" that Iran was behind the attacks on Aramco.

Iran denies its involvement in the strikes which were claimed by Yemeni Houthis. However, the United States and Saudi Arabia are pointing the finger to Iran.
