Johnson 'frustrated' with global leaders over climate change

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson criticized world leaders over their climate change actions during his speech at the United Nations meeting on Monday, saying he is "increasingly frustrated" with the "vast" gap between promised commitments and delivered results.

Johnson urged the wealthy states to meet the pledge they had made in 2009 to spend $100 billion a year to tackle climate change issues. According to analytics, the goal is likely to be missed as in 2019 the rich countries mobilized a little under $80 billion.

"As those countries now try to grow their economies in a clean, green and sustainable way we have a duty to support them in doing so – with our technology, with our expertise and with the money we have promised," Johnson stated.
