Johnson informs Queen of election victory

Leader of the Conservative Party, Boris Johnson, arrived at Buckingham Palace to inform Queen Elizabeth II of the election results in which his party secured 364 seats in Parliament, leaving the Labour Party far behind with 203 MPs.

As of Friday morning, there was only one undeclared constituency left, St Ives and the Isles of Scilly, where the transport of ballot boxes was disrupted due to bad weather. The constituency will be declared later in the afternoon.

The declared results showed that Liberal Democrats will have 11 seats in the House of Commons, the Scottish National Party 48, while 23 seats will be taken by representatives of other parties.
