Johnson says Brexit deal still possible but requires work

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson told his cabinet that progress has been made in the negotiations with the European Union but warned there was still a lot of work to be done before a deal is reached, a spokeswoman for Number 10 said on Sunday.

"The Prime Minister updated Cabinet on the current progress being made in ongoing Brexit negotiations, reiterating that a pathway to a deal could be seen but that there is still a significant amount of work to get there and we must remain prepared to leave on October 31," the spokeswoman stated.

Earlier today, Labour head Jeremy Corbyn asserted he would bring parliamentary action against Johnson if he doesn't ask Brussels for an Article 50 extension, adding he will advise MPs to vote against any deal the government agrees.
