Johnson: We're going to continue to deliver

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson remarked on Wednesday that, unlike the Labour opposition, his government has "a plan and they don't" on how to lead the United Kingdom out of the crisis and that "we're going to continue to deliver on the mandate I was given."

Responding to Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs) at the House of Commons, Johnson stressed that his government has implemented the "biggest tax cut in decades," which means "real money for real people." Replying to Leader of the Opposition Sir Keir Starmer's comment that the UK needs "a fresh start" by "getting rid of the lot of them," Johnson accused the Labour of voting against the measures of help since the very first crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic hit and against aiding Ukraine.

Touching upon the subject of the members of his government and party that resigned due to disagreements with Johnson's stances and of those that have so far stayed, the prime minister noted that the "times are tough" as Britain is "facing pressures on the economy," and that it is "exactly the moment when you expect the government to carry on with its job and not resign."
