Johnson: We'll make sure that immigration falls

United Kingdom Prime Minister and Conservative Party Leader Boris Johnson stated on Sunday that a potential Tory government will "make sure" that immigration figures go down.

Speaking in an interview for Sky News, he clarified that immigration restriction measures would mostly impact the unskilled workers coming from abroad. Tory leader pointed out that is "not hostile to immigration."

On the subject of customs in his Brexit deal, Johnson stressed that there would not be any customs checks on goods that are being moved from Northern Ireland to Great Britain. However, if goods are meant to be moved from Great Britain to the Republic of Ireland, "then there might be checks on the border into N. Ireland", he explained.
