Kiev: Our pilots are yet to start training abroad
Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Yuriy Ignat clarified for the Ukrainian Pravda in an interview posted on Monday that the country's pilots have not yet gone abroad for training, even though the lists have already been made.
Ignat confirmed that the first group of aviation specialists has left "to study the possibility of further deployment of training for Ukrainian pilots." He explained that among the aviation specialists, apart from pilots, who are yet to leave, there are also aviation engineers, who will learn how to maintain the planes, alongside combat control officers and others.
Earlier today, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with British Foreign Minister James Cleverly, to discuss the armed support for Kiev. Shmyhal thanked the UK for its leadership in "creating a coalition of fighter jets."
