Kremlin aide: No glimpse of hope in Russia-US relations

Russian President Vladimir Putin's adviser Yury Ushakov (pictured right) said on Sunday that there is "no glimpse of hope" in relations between Moscow and Washington, underlining that the state of affairs between the two countries is "not optimistic."

However, Ushakov stated that Russia and the United States continue to cooperate on visa issues and the exchange of detainees.

Previously, the Kremlin said that journalists from the "unfriendly" nations will not be allowed to attend this year's St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). In addition, Washington noted it will respect the limits of the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) as long as Russia does.
