Kudlow slams Trump's response to DC riots

United States National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow criticized President Donald Trump's response to the riots that took place in Washington DC on January 6.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Kudlow expressed his disappointment in Trump not reacting and calling for peace sooner. He also slammed the president's public criticism of Vice President Mike Pence, who refused to overturn the result of the 2020 elections. "Virtually, except for a few extremists, the entire legal profession agreed with Pence," he said.

Trump initially claimed his speech at the rally Save America, which preceded the riots, was "totally appropriate." He later urged his supporters to protest peacefully, with "no violence, no law-breaking and no vandalism of any kind."
