Kudlow: Still significant differences on stimulus bill

White House economic advisor Larry Kudlow said on Friday that "there are still significant policy differences between the two sides" in the negotiations on the coronavirus stimulus bill. Democratic and Republican lawmakers have been trying to reach an agreement on a relief package for weeks after the first package expired.

"We're probably closer than we were a week or two back," Kudlow added. However, he tempered his statement by saying that he is "neither optimistic nor pessimistic" about the outcome of the negotiations. Previously House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated that a deal is possible before the election, while US President Donald Trump said Democrats are not " willing to do what is right."
