Kuroda: No need for BoJ to change inflation target

Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said it is possible for the country to realize its plans of achieving a 2% inflation target and there is no need to adjust it.

He went on to underscore the central bank's commitment to persistent monetary easing in order to keep pushing the yield curve down, adding, however, that the bank expects CPI growth to remain negative for the time being.

In March, Japan's inflation stood at a negtive 0.2%, according to the country's Statistics Bureau.
