Lavrov will not meet US, UK reps during UNGA, FM says
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday its head Sergey Lavrov will not meet either the United States or the United Kingdom's representatives during the United Nations (UN) General Assembly (UNGA).
The ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed the announcement during an appearance on Soloviev Live. She previously stated Lavrov is not planning to meet with his French counterpart Catherine Colonna.
Earlier this week, Lavrov attended the UN Security Council's (UNSC) summit, during which he said that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) could have prevented the conflict in Ukraine if it had not ignored Russia's pleas "for decades."
