Leading US airlines also report website outages

The websites of major airline companies in the United States all experienced internet outages on Thursday, according to Downdetector's data.

Southwest Airlines was the first to report the issue at around 12:25 am ET. Later on, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines all confirmed having the same problem. "We experienced some issues with our website a little early, but we're back up and running," Southwest Airlines tweeted at 1:21 am ET or 7:21 am CET.

Earlier in the day, several major Australian banks and technological services such as Amazon Web Store (AWS) and Snapchat reported online outages in operations in that country.
