Liverpool FC owner 'would consider' purchase offers

Fenway Sports Group Holdings, LLC (FSG), the owner of teams such as Liverpool FC, Boston Red Sox, and Pittsburgh Penguins, stated on Monday that it "would consider" adding new shareholders to the English club's ownership "under the right terms and conditions" if that was in its best interest.

"FSG remains fully committed to the success of Liverpool, both on and off the pitch," the group concluded its written statement.

FSG's comments came after various reports it has decided to sell Liverpool. Some British media went on to interpret the group's newest statement as a sign the club has been put up for sale.
