Lloyds picks HSBC's executive as new CEO

Lloyds Banking Group plc announced on Monday that it picked Charlie Nunn as the new chief executive.

Nunn, who currently serves as the head of the wealth and personal banking at HSBC Bank plc, will succeed the outgoing Antonio Horta-Osorio.

"I am excited about Charlie's vision for Lloyds Banking Group, as well as his passion for and commitment to our purpose of helping Britain prosper. Given his career track record, he will bring world class operational, technology and strategic expertise to build on the strengths of the existing management team," Lloyds' future Chairman Robin Budenberg said.
