Lockdown in Germany to begin on November 2 - report

The coronavirus-related lockdown in Germany is reportedly expected to begin November 2, Bild reported on Wednesday.

The government's deputy spokeswoman Martina Fietz stated that Chancellor Angela Merkel will inform the parliamentary group leaders in the Bundestag about the resolutions which should introduce the tightened restriction measures.

According to the latest information, Germany registered new record-high COVID-19 daily cases, with 14,964 infected people added to a total that reached the number of 464,239 cases.
