LPR calls Ukrainian shelling of hospitals 'war crime'
The self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) condemned the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who shelled hospital complexes in Russian-controlled regions on Saturday, according to TASS news agency.
By using HIMARS multiple rocket launchers (MLRS) to bomb these facilities, they committed a war crime and broke international humanitarian law, the media outlet reported, citing a retired general in the LPR. The officer reportedly claimed that the move was planned and not accidental, being that the US-developed HIMARS is a high-precision weapon with a discrepancy of only five meters. "When entering the coordinates, the operator knew perfectly well where he would fire," the retired general stated.
