Macron stresses importance of Armenia's territorial integrity
French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday underscored the importance of Armenian sovereignty and territorial integrity, particularly in light of the ongoing clashes with Azerbaijan in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.
In an interview with TF1 and France 2 television channels, Macron affirmed that if there are any threats to the territorial integrity of Armenia, France will act in support of the Armenian people and in accordance with international law.
The statement comes after the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to meet for talks in October.
