Maduro appoints new oil minister
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro appointed a new oil minister after yesterday's resignation of Tareck El Aissami.
The president appointed Pedro Rafael Tellechea, the former head of the Petroleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA), explaining the move as part of the "process of transformation" of the nation's oil industry.
El Aissami resigned over a corruption scandal at the state-owned oil company, which linked him to several arrested officials.
