May rejects calls for her resignation

United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May dismissed alleged calls for her to step down. A report suggested her cabinet members will ask the prime minister to resign in May.

"I was very clear in December with the Conservative Party that my job is not just to deliver Brexit. There is also a domestic agenda that I am delivering on that reflects what I said when I was on the doorstep of No 10 when I first became prime minister," May stated on the way to a summit of the EU-Arab League. She cited the "long-term plan" for the National Health Service as part of her government's agenda. Meanwhile, reports emerged that EU officials are considering extending the Brexit deadline for another 21 months.
