McConnell accuses Biden of partisan spending
United States Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell asserted on Wednesday that President Joe Biden is responsible for approving "trillions of dollars of needless partisan spending."
Speaking before his colleagues in the Senate, the Kentucky Republican stressed that Biden should not be allowed to "walk away from the table" and that the president needs to start discussing ways to reform government spending with House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
The "Democrats' runaway printing and spending" should be a topic of negotiations between Congress and the White House in addition to talks on raising the upper limit on the country's debt, McConnell pointed out.
