McConnell: Senate won't consider USMCA before 2020

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Tuesday that the upper house of Congress won't take on the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) before the end of the year.

The Senate will consider the revamped NAFTA deal, which he described as "not as good" as he had hoped for, after the potential impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.

Earlier, the US, Canada, and Mexico signed the annex finalizing the trade deal in Mexico City.
