Meadows cooperating with House Jan. 6 panel

Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows agreed to cooperate with House of Representatives' Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, panel Chair Bennie Thompson said in a statement on Tuesday.

"He has produced records to the committee and will soon appear for an initial deposition," Thompson revealed. "The committee will continue to assess his degree of compliance with our subpoena after the deposition."

The panel had threatened Meadows, a close associate of former President Donald Trump, with taking similar legal action it had taken against another Trump ally Steve Bannon if the ex-White House chief of staff failed to cooperate with its investigation into the Capitol riots.
